Your Old Room is an interactive bedroom assembled from the years between 1999 and 2006—the overlap of VHS and DVD, dial-up and broadband, wired controllers and translucent plastic.
Why a bedroom?
Nostalgia rarely arrives as a neat list. It returns through objects: the green standby light, the hum before the picture appears, the pile of cases beside the television. The room is the navigation because the room is part of the memory.
Why only the TV?
One object should feel complete before the next wakes up. The computer, shelf, magazines, stereo, and drawers remain part of the composition, but tonight belongs to the television.
